Bio for Maggie Spicer

This is my 25th year of teaching 8th-grade science

I love serving my students and the community of Bledsoe County

Attended Tennessee Technological University/Bachelor's degree

Inspired by God and a college professor to switch majors from Wildlife Management to Education

(so grateful for that)

I was born and raised in Emporia, Kansas, and have resided in Tennessee for over 40 years

I am blessed with having a husband of 24 years, 2 sons (my youngest lives in California and my oldest son lives in heaven), 3 grandchildren, 2 cats

Love spending time with Jesus and my family, fishing, snorkeling,  long walks viewing wildlife, movies, and a good book 

Professional goals are to continue finding new ways to make science challenging and fun while inspiring students to explore the natural world so they will become curious and lifelong learners and of course remind them every day they are loved and valued.

I feel it is a great honor to have such a wonderful career and I am so blessed to have the support of God, family, friends, and my school family
